Proposed new homes at Ash Road, Westerham

We're excited to introduce plans to transform an underused site into five affordable homes that will benefit the local community in Westerham.

The proposals include a terrace and a semi-detached pair of houses to create five two-storey new houses, which have been designed to be comfortable, energy-efficient and adaptable.

The site currently contains garages that are no longer suitable for modern vehicles and have become underused. Redeveloping the site removes an ongoing issue with fly‑tipping and anti‑social behaviour, while creating much‑needed homes in an established residential area.

We’ve taken great care to ensure the new homes reflect the character of the surrounding neighbourhood. The buildings are two storeys in height, in line with nearby properties, and will use materials such as brick, tile hanging and plain roof tiles to blend in with the existing streetscape.

Sustainability measures include energy‑efficient construction, air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and cycle storage.

The site itself is located within the built‑up area of Westerham and benefits from good access to local services. Bus stops are a short walk away, while the town centre, shops, library and medical services are all within walking or cycling distance. This helps support a connected, walkable community and reduces reliance on cars.
