What is a management transfer?
A move to another West Kent home because of serious issues affecting your safety or wellbeing.
When you can apply
- You’re at risk of violence, abuse or harassment.
- Your home is linked to a safeguarding concern.
- You need to move for health or disability reasons.
- Exceptional circumstances agreed by West Kent.
Conditions
- You must have a clear rent account (or an agreed repayment plan).
- Your current home must be in good condition.
- You must not be subject to legal action or tenancy breaches.
What we offer
- A suitable alternative property based on your needs.
- Priority banding for urgent cases.
- Support during the move if required.
When we may refuse
- If the issue can be resolved without moving.
- If you’ve caused damage or breached your tenancy.
- If the move would lead to overcrowding or under-occupation.
