Earlier this year, we updated our damp and mould policy and procedure to support you if your home has damp and mould.

We've taken steps to give you access to information and support to reduce the risk of damp and mould in your home. This includes:

  • a range of printed materials
  • articles in Neighbourhood News, our residents magazine
  • a full series of animations available on our YouTube channel. We have recently updated the series with three new animations, focused on moisture, heating and ventilation.

What causes damp and mould?

Condensation is caused when excess warm moisture in the air (steam or water vapour) meets a cold surface and turns into water. This can cause patches of mould to form.

You can take some simple steps to reduce condensation, helping to prevent damp and mould.
