2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when we will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.

With this year’s theme of ‘Celebrate and Inspire’ we hope to encourage people to be the change that we want to see and get involved in volunteering in whatever way works for them.

The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering, so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole has never been more important.

Our staff are given three volunteer days each year, which they can use to volunteer for causes most close to their hearts. So far this year, our staff have volunteered at:

  • Light House, an initiative that provides new and pre-loved clothes and equipment to under 5s in South London
  • East Kent Railway
  • Margate Beach, where the team completed a beach clean-up.

Keep an eye on our social media channels over the week, where we’ll share more stories of how our staff use their volunteer days, and how volunteers make a difference within our schemes and communities too.

Our annual reports and accounts: Investing in homes, supporting communities

We’ve published our annual report and accounts for 2024/25 and it reflects a year of meaningful progress, shaped by our commitment to putting residents first.
