At 3pm on Sunday 7 September 2025, every compatible mobile phone in the UK will receive a test alert from the government's Emergency Alerts system.

You will hear a loud, siren-like sound, your phone will vibrate, and a test message will be displayed. If you have a vision or hearing impairment, audio and vibration attention signals will let you know you have received the test.

No action is required for this test. You can find out more information on the government's website.

If you are affected by domestic abuse and have a concealed mobile phone, you may not want the sound of the alert to draw attention to your phone. Instructions for opting out of the alert can also be found on the government's website.

We're here to support anyone experiencing domestic abuse. Find out how we can help you
