Please let us know if you think this is growing in your garden. We will then spray the plant with herbicide to kill the plant once a year in September. This is the period in which the plant is flowering the most, so creates more nutrients so it can grow.

If you're not sure if a plant is Japanese Knotweed, you can download apps which tell you from a photograph you take what type of plant it is. Alternatively, just let us know and we can come and check. To report it, email us or call 01732 749400.

If you are a leaseholder or shared owner, you are responsible for treating any Japanese Knotweed in your garden. You can find out how to do this online.
