Tonight lots of children will put on their best fancy dress costume in the hopes of getting some sweet treats from their neighbours and friends!

But, remember that the nights are now dark earlier and Halloween isn't always enjoyable for some. Here are Kent Police's top tips for safe and fun trick or treating this evening:

  • Never let young children go trick or treating on their own
  • Only visit people known to your family
  • Don't use flour or eggs
  • Don't visit houses with a ‘no trick or treat’ sign
  • Don't travel alone
  • Never go into the home of someone you don't know.

If you're worried about anything, please contact Kent Police on 101 (unless a crime is happening, when you should call 999).
