We’re planning for the likely spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our communities.

It’s business as usual for now, and we’ll let you know if anything changes.

If you are self-isolating and are expecting a visit from a West Kent staff member or contractor, please let us know as soon as possible.

Tips to prevent catching and spreading coronavirus:

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap, for around 20 seconds. Use sanitiser gel if soap and water isn’t available.
  • Use a tissue for sneezes and coughs, not your hands. If you don’t have a tissue, use your sleeve.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

If you feel unwell, and you’re worried it might be coronavirus, call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk. Do not go to a GP, pharmacy or hospital.

We are planning in case we have to provide emergency repairs in homes where residents are self-isolating. We have asked our contractors to do the same. To see what we class as an emergency, please see our Maintaining your Home standard.

If your repair is not an emergency, we may ask you to wait longer than usual, so we can get to those who need us the most.

All our staff are being provided with sanitising hand gel and won’t be sent to visit you if they pose a risk.
