During Social Value Week, we are recognising the social value contributions of some of our partners, including Brenwards, our electrical and building contractor.

Over the last year Brenwards has supported a wide range of social value projects to help us build stronger communities. Funded projects included a garden clearance project for vulnerable residents in Swanley, Christmas parties in our older people’s schemes and a pantomime trip for disadvantaged young people.

Brenwards will be supporting more community projects over the next year through a £30,000 cash injection to the West Kent Community Chest. Local organisations, residents and staff members can apply for funding for projects, which meet identified needs within our communities. We expect to support projects tackling isolation, developing skills, improving community safety or helping residents during the cost-of-living crisis.

West Kent Housing Association announces CEO successor

Following the announcement in April that our CEO Tracy Allison was planning to retire we’re pleased to share that Ian Joynson has been appointed as the next Chief Executive of West Kent Housing Association, joining in early 2026.
