What's a estate inspection?
Our neighbourhood housing officers (NHOs) regularly visit estates to ensure the area you live in is safe and being managed well.
The inspection includes monitoring services provided such as communal cleaning, bin store management and grounds maintenance and includes fire safety inspections for blocks of flats.
You neighbourhood housing officer will check the standards of your estate in line with our estate standards four times a year. They will take action where any areas do not meet a three-star rating.
You're welcome to join these inspections. Joining walks will help NHOs get a better understanding of any issues in the area and will support them to resolve issues and make improvements.
How can I join one?
If you would like to join a neighbourhood inspection, please check the dates below. You’ll then need to call 01732 749400 or email mytenancy@wkha.org.uk to find out the day, time and meeting point of the inspection and so your NHO knows to expect you.
These inspections are all about your local area and neighbourhood and NHOs won’t be able to discuss any individual tenant issues on the walks.
