Proposed new homes at Park Lane, Kemsing
We're excited to introduce plans to transform an underused garage site into four affordable homes that will benefit the local community in Kemsing.
The proposal would replace the existing garages with a small terrace and a modern detached home, creating four new homes which will be designed to be comfortable, energy efficient and adaptable.
The existing garages are underused and have become vulnerable to fly‑tipping and anti‑social behaviour. Redeveloping the site provides an opportunity to improve the area, remove these issues and deliver much-needed affordable housing within an established residential neighbourhood.
The new homes have been designed to sit comfortably alongside neighbouring properties. Building heights, roof forms and materials have been chosen to reflect the character of the surrounding housing estate, including the use of brick, tile hanging and traditional roof tiles.
Energy efficiency is a key part of the proposals, with measures such as air source heat pumps, high levels of insulation, electric vehicle charging points and cycle storage included.
The site is well located within Kemsing, with bus stops, the village centre and Kemsing railway station all nearby. This supports walking, cycling and public transport use, helping to reduce reliance on private cars.
