We’re thrilled to share that we will build 99 (30 shared ownership and 69 affordable and social rent) homes in Faversham, as part of our Kent-wide growth plan.

The stunning lakeside development of one, two, three and four bedroom homes, built by Anderson Group, is situated in a beautiful semi-rural location, Oare Lakes in Faversham.

The development carefully preserves the heritage of the site, with the restoration of eight listed buildings at Oare Lakes. Residents will enjoy views over a country park designed to protect and enhance the area’s natural wildlife and habitats.

Oare Lakes, Faversham

Faversham, known as one of the most desirable places to live in Kent, has been a settlement since pre-Roman times. It was the UK centre for the explosives industry in the late 17th and early 20th century. The town today is steeped in history but also has all you would expect from a Kentish market town- a wealth of independent shops, inns and eateries, regular markets, festivals and events, and a range of good primary and secondary schools, including the ‘outstanding’ Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School.

Adam Jenner, Project Manager for the development says:

“We are so excited about this development. Faversham offers so much to its residents, and what’s special about Faversham’s Oare Lakes site, is that the town’s rich and historic heritage is being preserved, and the natural habitat is being nurtured. This, and the wonderful community spirit of the town and local area, will mean this really is going to be a fabulous place to live.”

Unsurprisingly, the shared ownership homes are very popular with families – and selling quickly - especially those positioned close to the lakes.
