If you're going through a difficult time or need extra support, having to explain your situation to different organisations can be difficult and time-consuming.
The Vulnerability Registration Service (VRS) gives you a secure place to record your circumstances and explain the support you need. It's free to register. Organisations that use the VRS, such as banks, financial services, insurance and utility companies, can take this information into account when supporting you.

Tell your story once
Registering with the VRS can save you from having the same difficult conversation over and over again.
You can provide information about your circumstances and tell organisations how you'd like to be supported. This might include how you'd prefer them to communicate with you or any additional help you need.
Organisations that use the VRS can then see that you may need additional support, whether you're contacting them for the first time or already have a relationship with them.
What does registering mean?
Registering is free and gives you more control over how organisations understand and respond to your circumstances.
You can choose information that reflects your situation and explain the support you'd find helpful. You can also manage the information you want to share through the VRS portal.
Not every organisation uses the VRS, so registering doesn't mean every company you deal with will automatically have access to this information.
