We are shocked and saddened by the tragic events at Grenfell Tower and our thoughts are with all those affected.

We want to reassure all our tenants that we take their safety extremely seriously. Qualified assessors carry out comprehensive fire risk assessments on our properties, which we review regularly, and all are up to date.

West Kent has only a few tall blocks of flats and none higher than eight floors. The construction characteristics of our homes are very different to Grenfell Tower and none have the type of cladding used there.

Residents should continue to follow the advice on the Fire Action Notices in their blocks.

Please also visit the fire safety advice page on our website.

Any resident who is concerned about their safety can contact us at customerservices@wkha.org.uk

Fire safety advice is available from Kent Fire & Rescue Service or on 0800 923 7000.
