This week is due to be very cold, with snowy weather and icy conditions.

Remember, it's really important that you stay warm - especially if you're elderly, have health conditions or have young children living with you.

Here are a few top tips on how you can stay warm this week:

  • Keep your heating on low throughout the day. Keep the doors of unheated rooms open to allow some warmth in.

  • Heat yourself if you're worried about the cost of energy - layer up on your clothes, use hot water bottles, blankets, and wear thick socks and slippers.
  • Eat regularly and have at least one hot meal a day with plenty of hot drinks.
  • Warm yourself up by moving around and avoid sitting for long periods of time.
  • Remember the support available - contact us if you're worried about the cost of energy, food or other household bills. Visit www.westkent.org/helpforyou
