Ensuring residents' views and needs drive everything we do

Throughout the year we hold lots of different resident involvement activities where you can tell us what you really think.

We always listen to your feedback and make relevant changes where we can. We always publish the feedback and outcomes from our meetings, so you can see how residents are directly influencing the services we provide.

If you would like to become involved, please complete the form below or email residentinvolvement@wkha.org.uk. Details of our activities can be found on our events page.

    • Resident workshops

A chance to really influence some of the services we provide by giving us your views on a specific area of our services.

Workshops usually last about three hours and a sandwich meal is provided. Dates for next year are available on our events page.

    • Online discussion group

The West Kent residents discussion group allows residents to get involved and discuss important topics, from the comfort of their own homes. The group encourages discussions, suggestions and comments so we can work together to improve West Kent's services.

Topics for discussion will be posted by the Communications and Engagement team and residents are also encouraged to start discussions, ask questions and make suggestions. There will also be quick questions, surveys and polls.

We will post all the topics covered in our workshops, so anyone unable to attend them is still able to get involved. We can't promise that we will be able to respond to all comments and questions, or that all suggestions will be taken forward, but we will feed back on all discussion topics and any changes which have been made as a result.

The group is run as a Facebook group, and you will need a Facebook account to join. The group is a bit different to a regular Facebook group as it has two areas- a discussion area and a units area. Topics for discussion will be posted in both. Joining the group is really simple and its a great way to let us know your views.

      Join the group

We have created a quick guide that tells you more about the group and how to join.

    • Scrutiny panels/ task and finish groups

These groups are where the real change is going to happen.

We need a group of residents to work with us to have a really good look at how we deliver some of our services. This may take a whole day, maybe longer, and we'll train you beforehand.

We'll focus on one area at a time, you will help us to choose what we scrutinise.

    • Neighbourhood News editorial panel

We need a group of residents that will help us to decide the content of Neighbourhood News and our Residents' Annual Report.

We don't need you to write anything so we're just looking for people who will tell us what our residents want to know about. This doesn't have to take place during the day so could be a chance for people that work to influence these important publications.

    • Focus groups

We want to hold lots of focus groups in 2019. This is a great way to really understand how you feel about things.

Please register your interest in being involved and we can then write to you when we are looking for people. These are held at different times and places and we will let you know the subjects we will be discussing beforehand to help you decide if you have a view.
