Fun Days
Fun Days
West Kent Extra runs free Fun Days and Play Days around the Sevenoaks District each year during the summer holidays.
Since 2008 we have had over 3,700 attendances from children and young people – not surprising as we offer exciting activities from sports and games to arts and crafts, as well as special workshops like drama and circus skills – all for free!
In August 2010 we are running ten Fun Days in the North of the District, thanks to funding from Swanley Local Children’s Services Partnerships. You will find us in Swanley, Hextable, Horton Kirby and West Kingsdown – please click here for dates or download the flyers below.
Children and young people aged 8 to 15 years can be signed in and left with our team. Parents must come and sign in all children and young people. Please note that although younger brothers and sisters are welcome to join in, parents need to stay to supervise them and not all activities may be suitable for little ones.
There is no need to book in advance, but if you are a disabled child or young person or have additional needs (for example autism, ADHD, Aspergers, Dyspraxia, sight, hearing or mobility problems, learning difficulties) we would like to hear from you to make sure we provide any extra support you may need to take part and enjoy the days.
All the days will run, weather permitting, from 11am to 3pm. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring a packed lunch if you are staying all day.
Please call Heather Brightwell on 01732 749487 for more information.
Our Youth Forums and our Boomerang Project are also running activities this summer, and we have information from other organisations we work with so even if you are not in one of our Fun Days areas, there may be something going on near you.
