WKE's Community Projects

West Kent Extra is a community development charity that delivers and manages community projects, mainly in the Sevenoaks district.  It also helps others carry out similar initiatives both through partnership work and by funding local groups. Our aim is to provide neighbourhood-based social cohesion and social investment initiatives that add value to local communities.

Volunteering

Could you give some of your time to support one of our projects?

Whether you want to share a particular talent or try a new challenge, there are lots of opportunities available across our community projects. From helping children learn a new game at the 8-12s Projects, to transforming donated furniture with our carpenter Herbie, you could make a valuable contribution to our work and have a positive impact in the community.

As well as knowing you are making a difference and hopefully having fun, volunteers can also develop new skills, build confidence and update their CV. We can offer access to training and support with expenses. You do not have to be a West Kent tenant to volunteer on our community projects, although there are other opportunities for tenants to get involved in the core business of West Kent.  The application form is attached below.
