Youth Extra is a group of young people aged between 11 and 18 who want to talk about their lives and their neighbourhood, and get involved in planning activities or making changes.

Members have taken part in consultations on subjects ranging from community safety and money matters to the nature of Youth Extra itself – and members told us that Youth Extra should be more active! This is why we now have a Members Committee of young people who are making funding bids, designing their own newsletter, and planning activities like ice-skating and special workshops for the group as a whole.

Currently Youth Extra has 220 members, representing communities from all over the Sevenoaks District and beyond.  It’s growing all the time! 

Youth Extra would like to develop further, and we need our members to make sure we develop in a way that suits them.  If you or somebody you know would like to have a say in this, for example by joining the Members Committee, helping design a website, suggesting a consultation or planning an event, we would love to hear from you!
