Your landlord - your say!
As a tenant or leaseholder of West Kent you are automatically a member of the Association of West Kent Tenants and Residents (AWKTR).
The Tenants' Association was established in 1997 to promote and encourage the involvement of Tenants and to put in place a way to consult with tenants about the services that West Kent provide.
How can AWKTR help you?
AWKTR can:
- Provide advocacy in resolving problems with West Kent
- Provide financial help and support if you want to start a residents association in your area
- Provide support if you want to become a Tenant Representative or Community Representative for your area
- Provide the opportunity for YOU to get involved in the management of your home
- Help you to claim benefits or give assistance with filling in forms.

Tenant Rep Surgeries: Sevenoaks and Swanley receptions
A Tenant Representative will be available on the following dates at both Sevenoaks and Swanley offices. Just call in and ask at Reception
Monday 18 January 10 - 12
Monday 15 February 10 - 12
Monday 15 March 10 - 12
What can you expect from your Tenant Representative?
Tenant Representatives are not spies; they are volunteers who represent the views of tenants, not their own personal views.
If you have a problem in the area where you live, your Tenant Rep may be able to help you, they can advise you who to contact or contact them on your behalf.
They can liaise with West Kent if you have a problem with the services provided to you but they are not there to report general repairs and maintenance issues.
We also have vacancies for Tenant Reps in a number of areas, if you want to find out more contact getinovlved@wkha.org.uk
