Our sheltered scheme tenants got in the mood for summer despite the overcast conditions when they took part in a hanging basket masterclass.

Jane Wiseman, community outreach and partnership officer at Coolings Garden Centre, had an attentive audience as she demonstrated the skills needed to create colourful baskets and tubs.

With rain threatening to spoil the party, the event took place in the communal lounge at the scheme, which is home to 26 over 55s.
