If you are finding it difficult to pay your rent, please contact the income recovery team immediately - we are here to help.  If you get into debt we can help and advise you how to resolve the problem before it gets more serious.

We aim to help you avoid falling into serious arrears and will try to agree a plan with you so you can gradually clear any arrears that have accumulated.

If the debt continues to grow and you do not keep to the payment plan we agree, we will start legal proceedings. This means that we will serve a Notice of Seeking Possession setting out the reasons why we may go to court.

If we do have to go to court, we will apply to the county court for an order for possession of the property, a money judgement against you for the arrears and ask for any costs to be paid by you. If you don’t keep to this agreement, we will apply for a bailiff to evict you.

Please speak to the income recovery team as early as possible for advice on arrears.
