What is a Youth Forum?

Youth Extra helps young people aged 11 to 18 years come together to talk about their lives and their neighbourhood; getting them involved in planning activities or making changes. This often leads to the young people forming Youth Forums, with residential team-building activities and workshops helping them to build their skills and work together.

Where do we meet?

We meet in Edenbridge, Sevenoaks, Swanley, West Kingsdown and Hartley.

Youth Forum successes

  • Winning £55,000 of funding for a new skate park
  • Organising voluntary work in Uganda
  • Reporting on play facilities for the local town council
  • Building better relationships with older local  residents
  • Organising trips for local families and younger children
  • Winning Respect Awards and the Kent Sheriffs Award for Leadership.
