What is the 8-12s Project?

 The 8-12s Project aims to:

  • Provide active support and opportunity for children aged from 8 to 12 years
  • Allow children access to local, low cost activities, which are creative, skilful, educational and fun
  • Equip children with communication and social skills and set appropriate behavioural boundaries at this important transitional age.

What is involved?

The projects provide regular, low-cost, locally based activities in a safe environment, with an emphasis on behaviour and positive communication.

The children are encouraged to support one another and to stick to their own 'Charter of Rights'

These projects have been very successful in supporting the children who attend as you can see in the 8-12s Project Evaluation Report for 2010, available from the related documents links.

Have a look at our sample programme in the related documents.

Who can join?

When and where?
