Welfare reforms - will they affect you?

You have probably heard that the government is proposing big changes to the welfare benefits system. On 8 March 2012 the Welfare Reform Act received Royal Assent. The Act legislates for the biggest change to the welfare system for over 60 years.

Kent History and Library Centre to open on Shakespeare’s birthday

The state of the art Kent History and Library Centre in Maidstone will open its doors to the public on Monday 23 April. Costumed book characters will be out and about in Maidstone town centre on the day, to tell people about the opening, which coincides with St George’s Day, World Book Night as well as William Shakespeare’s birthday.
